Recent Works
Here, you can find an outline of some of my most recent papers and links to my relevant researcher profiles. You can also see some of the current projects we’re working on!
Body Image Bisexual Men
In this paper, we compared body image for a large sample of cisgender bisexual, gay and straight men. We challenge typical assumptions that bisexual and gay men experience the same body satisfaction across various areas. We found evidence against this, challenging this assumption.
Quality of Life, Body Satisfaction and Sexual Attraction
In this paper, we explored body satisfaction in a sample of cisgender men who reported varying sexual attraction to either men or women.
Gender Congruence, Body Image and Quality of Life
This paper (under review) explored the dynamic relationship between gender congruence, body satisfaction and quality of life for a sample of 166 trans men from Global North countries.
Attitudes Toward Trans and Gender Diverse People
This project involved exploring what factors influence attitudes toward TGD people, focusing on gender, gender essentialism and traditional gender norms. We also experimentally manipulated mthe asculinity threat.
Current Projects
The following are some current projects I’m working on as of early 2025.
Body Image for Trans Men
We are conducting a large-scale, multi-year project investigating body image, health, and well-being outcomes for trans men.
Binegativity, Body Image and Visibility for Cisgender bisexual men
Based on our most recent project, this project is investigating the consequences and causes of negativity using a cross-sectional/experimental approach.
Trevor Project Survey
I am collaborating with colleagues from the University of Birmingham, Bristol and Brighton to analyse a large sample of data from LGBTQ+ people in the UK.
